I am James Adepoju

I grew up in Brixton and as a youth I was noticed as a talented sports person. I went on to represent the Borough of Lambeth in athletics and table tennis. Although, I was good at these two sports, I was a also a promising and skilful footballer. Having trialed for various professional football clubs I finally represented Fulham FC Youth Division.
I sustained an injury to my left knee which unfortunately for me, put an end to my football career. Still determined, I did not give up.
At the age of 21, I found a passion for working with young people. My first youth lead experience was a success. I had started up a youth club which the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson made a visit to acknowledge the great work I had done.
I also worked for Fulham Foundation for over 6 years. Using my youthwork and FA coaching badge experiences, I engaged 'hard to reach' young people into doing something constructive with thier lives using the power of sports.
I moved on to become a Physical Education Coach at a primary school based in Croydon.
Working with young people and families drove me to setting up my own company called JA Coaching, delivering weekend football for the community and school holiday clubs.
Additionally, with my passion for keeping fit, I decided to become a Personal Trainer. I strive to help motivate individuals to achieve their chosen goals.
